Fifteen years as a financial planner taught me the same lesson over and over: most people don't lose money to bad luck. They lose it to nobody looking.
I've spent fifteen years working directly with individuals and business owners on their financial planning, and I kept seeing the same pattern — smart, hardworking people paying more than they had to, not because they did anything wrong, but because nobody was actively looking for a way to bring that number down. The system rewards people who have someone in their corner running the numbers year-round. Most people don't have that. The Tax Tacticians was built to change who gets access to that kind of advocacy.
I live in Castle Rock, Colorado, with my wife and our five kids — which is a big part of why this work matters to me personally. Every dollar overpaid to the IRS unnecessarily is a dollar that didn't go toward the things that actually matter to a family or a business. This isn't abstract for me. It's the same fight I'd want someone fighting for my own family's finances.
